FAQs

How long will it take to receive my order?

In Stock items will ship within 2-14 business days.

Please let us know of any rush orders for In Stock Items so we can accomodate you.

Please see our In Stock Cutting Board collection on our homepage for boards that are In Stock.

Lead times for Custom Board orders that are not in stock vary. If you have a time sensitve need or would like to confirm availability and timing on handmade boards, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Holiday's affect lead times as this is family time and we are not working.

Orders can only be  cancelled within the 24 hours of being placed. After that time, materials will have been ordered and production will be underway.

We're a small family-run business (just the two of us!), and we work hard to serve our customers. We will not tolerate bullying, threates, or abusive language. Thank you for your kindness and understanding.

Note on Wood Variations
As a natural material, wood will have unique grain patterns, knots, and colour variations. These are not flaws, but part of what makes each piece one of a kind. While the overall pattern of design will remain the same, the wood grain will vary from peice to piece. We appreciate your understanding and love for the natural beauty of wood!

If you have ordered and you have any questions please reach out to us. We are very quick to respond,  and we will answer calls on the weekends.

Thank you,

Can I pick up my order?

Yes! When you check out the option to pick up will become available.

Do you provide Cutting Board Care Instructions?

YES! We provide these instructions with every purchase of a Deer Park Woodwork Cutting Board.

How To Care For Your Board:
Below are the Do’s and Dont’s for the proper care and maintenance of your new Deer Park Woodwork board. By following these basic guidelines you will ensure the board’s longevity, giving you years of use and enjoyment!

Do’s:
- Clean board with soap and warm water
 -Dry immediately with a towel
-Air dry standing up or raised on a rack to permit airflow.
- Treat with a Board Wax, or Deer Park Board Butter everyday for the first month.

 Dont’s:
- Never put the board in the dishwasher
- Dunk or let the board stand in water
- Never use bleach
- Never lay flat to dry - unless you have chosen to add for four rubber stopper feet.
-Never place or rest hot things on the board like pots or pans that may burn or discolour the wood

More Tips:
We recommend using our Deer Park Board Butter, a combination of mineral oil and bees wax, after each use for the first month. In use over time, your knives will mark your board. To make them disappear, a light sand with 220 grit or more sandpaper is all that is needed.

What Type Of Glue Do You Use To Make Your Cutting Boards?

We use Titebond 3 Glue which is non toxic, and FDA approved.

Is the Juice Groove on both sides of the board?

If you choose to add a Juice Groove it will only be on one side of the board.

Can I add rubber feet to my board?

Add Four Rubber Stopper Feet for free for any of our boards.
Rubber Stopper Feet Dimensions: 0.25"H
We STRONGLY recommend adding rubber stopper feet to all End Grain Cutting boards as it helps to permit airflow under the board when it is drying.

Can I order a different size?

You can build your very own Edge Grain or End Grain Cutting Board, or Butcher Block right on our website. You can find it in our menu under "Design + Build A Custom Cutting Board". If you still haven't found the size you would like please reach out to us and we can provice a quote.
