Description

Crafted from premium toasted maple, this end grain cutting board is designed to be as beautiful as it is durable. The rich, caramel tones are created through a natural thermal treatment process that enhances the wood's character while showcasing its unique grain patterns.

End grain construction is the gold standard for cutting boards. The wood fibers gently separate under your knife and then close back together, helping preserve your blade's edge while minimizing visible knife marks. Built to last for decades with proper care, this board is equally at home as a hardworking prep surface or a stunning serving piece.

Features:

  • Premium toasted maple hardwood
  • Professional-grade end grain construction
  • Gentle on knife edges
  • Naturally self-healing surface
  • Handcrafted in Canada
  • Built to last a lifetime with proper care
  • Finished with a food-safe mineral oil and beeswax conditioner

Care Instructions

We provide these care instructions with each purchase of a board:

Do’s:

- Clean board with soap and cold water only.

- Wipe down with a damp cloth.

- Dry immediately with a towel.

- If your board does not have feet, air dry flat on a rack to permit airflow around the board.

** We Do Not Recommend End Grain Boards without feet.

- If your board has feet, it can be laid flat to dry.

- Condition the board with a wax product, like our Board Butter, before first use, and often for the first month to build up a water barrier.

Don’ts:

-Never put the board in the dishwasher

-Do not dunk or let the board stand in water

-Never use bleach

-Never place or rest hot things on the board like pots or pans that may burn or discolour the wood

-We recommend using our Deer Park Board Butter, a combination of mineral oil and beeswax, at the end of each day for the first month, to build up a water barrier.
