Description
Handcrafted in New England from upcycled oak logs, this serving bowl blends traditional craftsmanship with modern design. Each bowl is naturally ebonized using a steel wool and vinegar solution, a time-honored process that reacts with the wood to create deep black undertones. A food-safe white milk paint is then applied, producing soft bluish-grey hues that highlight the grain and character of the oak. The bowl is sealed with a durable acrylic finish for long-lasting beauty and everyday use.
Measuring 15 inches wide by 5 inches high, this medium-large serving bowl is our best seller. It’s perfectly sized for serving salads, pasta, or popcorn for 5–8 people, making it ideal for family gatherings, entertaining, or small parties. Thoughtfully made and visually striking, it also makes a memorable wedding or housewarming gift.

- Wipe down with a damp cloth.
- Dry immediately with a towel.
- If your board does not have feet, air dry standing up or raised on a rack to permit airflow.
- If your board has feet, it can be laid flat to dry.
- Condition the board with a wax product, like our Board Butter, often for the first month to build up a water barrier.
Don’ts:
-Never put the board in the dishwasher
-Do not dunk or let the board stand in water
-Never use bleach
-Never place or rest hot things on the board like pots or pans that may burn or discolour the wood
